The Michigan construction industry Construction
Futures program includes Build Up!, On
Site! and Road-Ways! The
three AGC Chapters in Michigan, the Michigan Chapter, AGC,
Greater Detroit Chapter and the Michigan Road Builders
Association sponsor this program.
Working with grants from
the Michigan Laborers and Employers
Cooperation Education Trust Fund (LECET), Operating
Engineers Local #324 and other contributors, the AGC coordinate marketing,
distribution of the kits and teacher and contractor training.
In our first year of partnership the Michigan
Center for Career & Technical Education (MCCTE) completed the "crosswalk" of
the Build Up! curriculum to ensure that it meets existing
Michigan Curriculum Framework Benchmarks & Standards
so all teachers can accept it without reservation.
